At first glance this may appear to be your average rant about problems faced when dealing with clients. Well, you wouldn’t be wrong. But if you pay attention, you might just learn something.

Shit happens, this is a fact. Joe thinks Tom is organising entertainment, Toms thinks Harry is organising, meanwhile no one is organising anything. Uh-oh, party day arrives and you have no entertainment booked. This happens way more often than you would think. As an entertainment agency we are familiar with the scenario. Like I said, shit happens. What we are also way too familiar with is — unrealistic expectations.

Let me make this clear, strippers and waitresses ARE NOT LIKE PIZZA. Do not think you can call at any time of day (or night), pick and choose exactly what you want and that a girl will be on your doorstep in under thirty minutes. Also you should keep in mind there is no “stripper central” with girls in costume, hair and makeup ready, anxiously sitting by the phone waiting for YOUR call. Nor are there girls stationed in every suburb, show ready, on the off chance YOU might call.

Strippers and waitresses are human beings who work on a schedule. They also have personal commitments and are not always available, particularly at short notice.

Guys, we realise that “shit happens” and we love being able to help out in your time of need. We know sometimes the best laid plans go awry. But please be mindful of what you are asking for.

When making a booking last minute or at short notice you must be flexible. Calling at 3pm  with the expectation of an 8pm start definitely qualifies as short notice. And if, on a Saturday night, you can get a girl within two hours; be happy, you could easily have got no-one.

The moral of this tale is book in advance whenever possible. This enables you to choose preferred performers and times. If you can’t book in advance, because as we know shit happens, then be reasonable and be flexible. And always have a great fun!
